3GB series triple screw pumps, with their positive displacement characteristics, excellent thermal insulation, high wear resistance, and superior sealing performance, serve as booster pumps for heavy oil, residual oil, fuel oil, and other low-quality, high-viscosity media. They effectively address challenges such as high viscosity, high impurity content, and susceptibility to leakage.
This pump is a positive displacement type. After the master and slave screws engage, they form a series of sealed chambers, forcing the medium forward. Consequently, the outlet pressure depends solely on the system back pressure and is virtually independent of viscosity. Therefore, even when processing heavy oil at 180°C and 380 cSt under 2.5 MPa pressure, it delivers stable output to meet the dual requirements of combustion pressure and flow rate. 3GB high viscosity screw pump can be equipped with optional steam or thermal oil jackets to maintain a constant internal temperature of 120–350°C, making it particularly suitable for operation in extremely cold regions. This high temperature rapidly reduces the viscosity of heavy oil and residual oil, significantly decreasing flow resistance, which not only lowers shaft power but also prevents screw damage caused by cold start dry grinding.
Generally, heavy oil and residual oil often contain trace amounts of catalyst powder or coke powder. Therefore, this equipment utilizes wear-resistant materials with abrasion resistance 3–4 times that of standard tin bronze, extending service life from 8,000 hours to over 20,000 hours. Simultaneously, its hard alloy mechanical seal ensures low leakage and extended longevity even under high-temperature, high-pressure conditions.
This equipment enables straight-line continuous delivery without agitation or pulsation during the transfer process, ensuring stable flow rates. It is particularly suitable for applications demanding high flow stability, such as metering, atomization, and combustion. Compared to gear pumps, its outlet flow pulsation is <±1%, ensuring the burner receives a constant-pressure, constant-flow oil film with uniform atomization particles. Moreover, the this machine achieves a self-priming height of 4–6 m, enabling direct extraction of heavy oil from underground tanks or settling tanks without priming. This allows for immediate installation and use, thereby reducing production costs to a certain extent. 3GB series screw pumps are widely used as heavy oil, residual oil, and fuel oil booster pumps in refineries, power plants, glass factories, ships, and asphalt mixing plants due to their reliable operation, strong handling capacity, and long service life.
