Centrifugal pumps are widely used as an important fluid transfer equipment in many fields such as chemical industry, pharmaceutical industry, environmental protection, etc. IHF series centrifugal pumps and FSB centrifugal pumps are two common types, and there are some differences between them in terms of structure, performance, and scope of application, etc. It is important to understand these differences for the correct selection and use of centrifugal pumps.
IHF series centrifugal pump adopts single-stage single-suction structure, and the pump body is usually corrosion-resistant engineering plastics, such as fluorine plastic, which has good corrosion resistance and mechanical strength. Its impeller is generally closed impeller, which can effectively improve the efficiency and head of the pump. FSB series centrifugal pumps also use single-stage single-suction structure, but the pump body is made of cast iron, stainless steel and other materials, which can be selected according to the different media and use of the environment.
Generally speaking, IHF series chemical centrifugal pumps have the ability to transport various corrosive media, such as acid, alkali, salt, etc., with good corrosion resistance. So it is mainly used in chemical, pharmaceutical, environmental protection and other industries to transport various corrosive media, such as sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, sodium hydroxide, etc. It can also be used to transport some clean media without solid particles, such as water, organic solvents and so on. The flow range of the pump is generally 12.5-100m³/h, and the head range is 20-50 m. FSB series centrifugal pumps have strong corrosion resistance, and high mechanical strength, no aging, no toxin decomposition, and can be used to transport any concentration of acids, alkalis, oxidizers and other corrosive media in the chemical industry, petroleum, metallurgy, electric power, papermaking, food, etc. The flow range is 1.5-100m³/h, and the head range is 1.5-100m³/h, and the flow range is 20-50m. Its flow range is 1.5-100m³/h and head range is 10-80 m. Therefore, FSB series chemical centrifugal pumps have better performance when conveying high viscosity media.
In terms of sealing, these two centrifugal pumps adopt different designs. IHF series centrifugal pumps usually adopt mechanical seal or packing seal. Mechanical seals have good sealing performance and service life, and are suitable for conveying corrosive media and high temperature media. Packing seal has the advantages of simple structure and low cost, which is suitable for some occasions with low requirements for sealing. On the contrary, FSB series centrifugal pumps are mostly sealed to ensure good sealing effect and prevent media leakage. The material of mechanical seal can be selected according to different media, such as ceramic, silicon carbide, etc., in order to improve the abrasion resistance and corrosion resistance of the seal.
To summarize, there are some differences between IHF series centrifugal pumps and FSB centrifugal pumps in terms of structural design, performance characteristics, sealing form and scope of application. In the actual application, according to the specific media nature, conveying requirements and the use of environmental factors, comprehensive consideration should be given to the selection of suitable centrifugal pumps to ensure their safe, efficient and stable operation.
