According to the wear form of the pump flow element, it can be divided into:
1. Ordinary wear ---- The surface of the material presents roughly the same corrugated sprint marks, and the large, flat surface develops from corrugated marks to fish scale pits.
2. Local wear --- There are deep grooves, holes or pits on the surface, which can develop into perforations and cracks.


Reasons for local wear of rotary lobe pump
Localized wear is caused by changes in the geometry of the flow surface, causing fluid outflow, eddies, pulsations and velocity discontinuities, which in turn cause cavitation.
1. There are ditches and cornerstones on the surface of the flow surface, which are easy to cause hydraulic vortex, dehydration wear or eddy current wear.
2. Rough and uneven surfaces tend to cause flow motion disorders, homogeneous emulsification, and mixing pumps lead to local high-speed flow and local wear.
3. Surface defects such as sandstone, shrinkage, pores and other casting defects are the root cause of hydraulic vortex.

1. Wear area method: absolute change of wear area per unit time.
2. Wear etching depth method: the absolute change of the etching depth of the material per unit time of the cam type double rotor pump.
3. Wear method: absolute change in material wear per unit time.
4. Wear quality (weight) method: absolute change in material wear quality (weight) per unit time.
