The
rotary lobe pump is a kind of volumetric pump which can change the volume of the pump through a pair of synchronous rotating rotors, resulting in high vacuum and discharge pressure to realize fluid transportation. There are many kinds of rotor pumps, among which the most common types are stainless steel rotary lobe pump, high viscosity rotor pump and food transfer pump.
1: The rotary lobe pump has strong self-priming performance, but the outlet valve must be opened before starting, otherwise there will be serious internal leakage and unbalanced operation.
2: the pump produces flow and pressure in operation, but has a certain pulsation.
3: can transport viscous medium, and the efficiency does not change much, such as resin, honey and other substances, can also transport media containing a certain amount of gas, such as single screw pump, twin screw pump.
4: with the increase of liquid viscosity and gas content, the flow rate and pressure of the pump decrease.
5: the rotary lobe pump must be equipped with a safety loop or safety valve to balance its balanced operation under overpressure.
6: the flow rate can not be adjusted by the outlet valve, the flow rate of the volumetric pump is inversely proportional to the pressure parameters, such as adjusting the decrease of the outlet valve flow will increase the outlet pressure. Commonly used bypass regulation, rotation regulation methods.
7: the theoretical flow rate has nothing to do with the pipeline characteristics, but only depends on the performance parameters of the pump itself; while the pressure provided depends on the pipeline characteristics and has nothing to do with the pump itself, the so-called pressure of the volume pump is the overall resistance of the pipeline, if the pump outlet is not connected to the pipeline, the gear oil pump does not have discharge pressure.
8: the shaft power of the rotary lobe pump will increase with the increase of the discharge pressure, and the efficiency of the pump will increase accordingly, but when the pressure exceeds the rated pressure value, the efficiency will decrease due to internal leakage. If the outlet channel of the pump is blocked, you can open the safety valve to relieve pressure. The safety valve can be cast into a whole with the pump body or pump cover, or it can be assembled separately. For the high viscosity gear pump which needs positive and reverse reversal, the safety valve should be set up on the inlet and outlet pipeline.
